Can I submit my app before DAT grades are officially sent to ADEA?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
ofcourse you can submit. I submitted mine on one day and in the next fews days AADSAS showed that it got my scores. Same goes for Letters of Eval, Transcripts, ect.

The earlier you submit, the better. Gogogo. Good luck.

so basically the schools will get the rest of the app and will leave it on the side until my DAT grades get sent in?

I have the same question as above, but in regards to evaluations. I am waiting for two of mine, but I submitted my application back on June 6. To my understanding my application has/is sent to the schools and the evaluations will be added when received. I hope this is correct and should be the same for DAT scores.

Thanks for the help

The ONLY thing AADSAS needs to send your application out to schools is:
1. You click Submit (and pay)
2. All of your transcripts

Whenever your DAT scores arrive, they'll go out to the schools in the next batch of applications. Same for your letters.

is it better to wait until everything is in and then submit the app? or submit app and have everything trickle in? idk if true or not, but i hear they tend to put the applications off to the side when theyre not complete and that it sort of delays your application evaluation bc they almost "forget" those... something similar was said straight from the dean of UMDNJ

In your case, I would just move ahead with the process. It's super early and so many schools are not going to be reviewing applications right out of the blocks. Scores and letters trickling in in August and September is different than trickling in in early July.

Also, if you're looking at being ready to submit by this weekend submit and you took the DAT two days ago, it's possible your scores will get to AADSAS before you transcripts are even verified.

Also, as far as putting applications to the side, remember a lot of this is electronic. There isn't a literal stack of folders that they forget about. They can sort and filter all their applications in all sorts of ways. If your scores trail your application by a week, as soon as they dump in the new batch of applications your application is updated and you're right back in the mix.

is it really "super early" i see everyone rush rush rushing to get their apps in lol and whats the truth with the whole "first batch" thing... i just finished taking my DAT and felt like i could breathe finally but now I have this hanging over my head and feeling rushed to finish it and submit my app lol never ending........ as for the transcripts, i had both my schools send them in sometime last week so hopefully that should get there soon

what you said about the electronic apps def makes sense and i hope thats how they process them...the dean of UMD really made it seem like we should just send them in when theyre fully complete and not in pieces so that had me kind of worried

so basically, at this point i plan to finish up my personal statement after having some people look at it by monday...my 2 LORs should be done by about monday or wednesday the latest probably and the only thing ill be waiting for is transcript and DAT verification, but i should just submit the app when my personal statement and all other information is all complete and just let the LORs roll in along with GPA and DAT verification, right?

supplemental apps just get sent in separately and i can work on those afterward, right?
