I took my DAT two days ago and my application should be ready by this weekend...Can I submit it or I have to wait for the DAT grades to be sent to ADEA?
ofcourse you can submit. I submitted mine on one day and in the next fews days AADSAS showed that it got my scores. Same goes for Letters of Eval, Transcripts, ect.
The earlier you submit, the better. Gogogo. Good luck.
The ONLY thing AADSAS needs to send your application out to schools is:
1. You click Submit (and pay)
2. All of your transcripts
Whenever your DAT scores arrive, they'll go out to the schools in the next batch of applications. Same for your letters.
is it better to wait until everything is in and then submit the app? or submit app and have everything trickle in? idk if true or not, but i hear they tend to put the applications off to the side when theyre not complete and that it sort of delays your application evaluation bc they almost "forget" those... something similar was said straight from the dean of UMDNJ
In your case, I would just move ahead with the process. It's super early and so many schools are not going to be reviewing applications right out of the blocks. Scores and letters trickling in in August and September is different than trickling in in early July.
Also, if you're looking at being ready to submit by this weekend submit and you took the DAT two days ago, it's possible your scores will get to AADSAS before you transcripts are even verified.
Also, as far as putting applications to the side, remember a lot of this is electronic. There isn't a literal stack of folders that they forget about. They can sort and filter all their applications in all sorts of ways. If your scores trail your application by a week, as soon as they dump in the new batch of applications your application is updated and you're right back in the mix.
