Can I sumbit more than 3 letters of reference to AADSAS?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
the more you send the better your application looks

aadsas sends all your letters to your schools..while most schools only need 3 letters, the max most schools can take are 6

i only had 4 letters...3 science prof and one dentist, and that was sufficient for all schools. more letters can't hurt but make sure that the each prof will have something unique to say about you, and that it's not all just the same

For this reason I submitted 20 letters...:scared: 😀

All you really need is 6 MAX and for most schools you are fine with 3 (thats all i ever did.

Can I sumbit more than 3 letter of refernce to AADSAS? If so, how does each school know which 3 to pick?

Thanks you so much.

You're asking a surprising number of very basic (and frequently answered) questions for someone who has nearly 1000 posts.

I sent 7, almost 8. But I though 8 would be overkill 😀

Every school had different requirements on who sent the letters so i had to send 6 to meet every schools requirements. For example west virginia wanted a bio, chem, physics teacher. Another school wanted 2 from my major. Another school wanted one from a dentist i'd worked for 1 from my major and 1 from a non bio, chem, phsyics class. It was very annoying.

okay, if I sumbit more than 3 letters to AADSAS, do I need to tell each school which 3 letters to look at? Or will each school look at all the letters? Thanks!

My school's Pre-Health committee said that max. you should have is 5 - 2 sci, 1 non-sci, 1 clinical, and the 5th one has to be original.

how are we going to get 1 non science? Those classes are pretty simple like you can just go to class and go home and study and take the test and get an A. whats the point of getting to know a non science professor for then?

Rounded off individual? That's my best guess.
