i m taking exam in may. NBDE 1. And i m going to study like only 2 months. I ve not worked 1 yr and nor do ve experience in america. I want to be a dentist here no matter what. But my friends and everyone they r like i m wasting time and years and then it will be too late for me to get into school as i ve not practiced dentistry since like a yr and all. They feel i shd do something else or atleast do a job. But if i do a job even for 2 or 3 days, i m not able to concentrate in studies. I m getting demotivated by these comments of everyone. do u guys really feel that sitting at home for 2 yrs and studying will lead me nowhere?I juz want to do it no matter what. Am i doing right guys? I can be dental assistant even after i complete my exam or i can even do observership .

concentrate on your exam.. may is not far.. and im telling you.. dont listen to what people say. they will always try to upset you, demotivate you..do what you feel is right for you.. you can work once you have taken the exam..n believe me.. colleges just look at your scores, no matter what how much work exp you have.. any suggestions from anyone welcome!!

chato1234 is right just concentrate on ur exam becoz u have only 2 months.and after that u can work as dental assistant .......but this is not true that all schools only look for high score.some school look for overall package like schools in california......u should have some work exp. in US to get an interview call from california school ......there are some schools where u can secure u seat with high part 1 score and high gpa.....any suggestion pls

hi..dnt get discouraged..just read..most of the foreign trained dentists have a gap where they dnt work or do anything here..bcoz..many r maried women..and some..even wit kids...so..many dnt hav experience here....
dnt listen to people....dental assistantship here is no big deal....focus on ur exam...find a study partner..or go to a public library to read..get motivated...
