Can we not add ECs later on after submitting AMCAS?

I know we can add more schools to which we want to apply after submitting AMCAS, but I was under the impression that we would also be able to add ECs (jobs, accomplishments, etc) after submitting AMCAS as well.

However, after reviewing the AMCAS FAQ (https://www.aamc.org/students/applying/amcas/faqs/147904/aftersub_shared_2.1.html) it doesn't appear like this is an option.

The reason I ask is because I will hopefully be starting a new job in August, which I would certainly like to add to me application, but don't want to add it now as it is not an absolute certainty at this point.

You are correct, you can't edit the activities section once you submit. Adding this job isn't even an option because you can't add activities with a future start date. If you end up doing that job, there will likely be opportunities to talk about it in secondary essays and interviews. You can also send update letters, which many schools are receptive to.
