Hey guys, I was planning on applying to some Medical Schools after second year (to the schools that accept you after three years of undergraduate studies) and I had one question. I was planning on writing my MCAT around early-to-mid August next summer but noticed that some schools in the states have application deadlines of August 1st. I was wondering if I could apply to those schools before the MCAT scores are released or before I write the MCAT?

Thanks!!

Yeah, but you won't be evaluated till your scores are in. There's a space on AMCAS to mark a future anticipated test date.

Yep. To save money, some people will only apply to one school on their application, then add the rest once the MCAT score is available (in the event they might not be happy with their score).

My advice is to take the MCAT sooner than August. Why not take it in June or July?

Planning on starting studying in May and would like to get as much time to study as possible but still write it in the summer.
