This is like dating two girls (or guys, please don’t be triggered) at once, you ain’t gonna end well
@LizzyM
So just to clarify, if I had an acceptance for the entering 2018 class that has orientation week 2 weeks before classes starting (in July) and would really only attend if it was an absolute last resort and was still on the waitlist for a school that begin orientation in August. After attending orientation at the first would it be possible to be pulled from the waitlist at the other school? Would they know or even be able to offer you a spot? I would choose the school I'm waitlisted at in a heart beat so I would like to get some more information on this. I apologize I attended of course in the event it doesn't workout but I would gladly accept the other offer if it came but after coming across this post I'm a bit confused as to whether it is even possible
Alas, in the DO world, we've lost students to our local state MD school, so there is a directionality to poaching.If these are both allopathic schools the one where you are waitlisted will see that you are accepted at another institution that has already started orientation. Rather than offer you a late spot they will likely remove you from consideration (the no poaching rule) and pick someone else who is still "on the market."
It is probably time to become at peace and learn to love your last resort.
If MD schools can't see which DO school you're attending, is it really poaching? Also I would likely attend a higher ranked DO school over Northstate if I had the choiceAlas, in the DO world, we've lost students to our local state MD school, so there is a directionality to poaching.

Never once at my school. We have interviewed people who failed out of MD schools...they're DOA here.
No med school in the US would have a problem with your wanting to go elsewhere than CNU.
All the ones who ate on SDN sure are. And Admissions Deans do talk to each otherIs this really true though? I know CNU and its background, but are all ADCOMs across the entire country fully aware?
Believe me...we Faculty agree.Your school seems to interview DOA interviewees all the time. Better screening? It would save both you and the interviewees time....and the interviewee hundreds of dollars in travel money and lost wages.

- any encroachment on another's property, rights, ideas, or the like.
I would tell someone to reapply the following year if they were left with those two choices!LUCOM or CNU? Serious question...
The Dean doesn't get involved at that level.Dean against it?
Eh, works out well sometimes. One of my classmates got pulled off the waitlist after classes had started (I think she started day 2 or 3 of the actual school year); because, we had someone drop in the middle of orientation. She ended up matching into a really good program in her chosen field. Last minute acceptance is better than no acceptance.

He's a major delegatory guy. Some people are micro-managers, he's the polar opposite.What's the major barrier?
I like when people delegate and trust rather than micro manage.He's a major delegatory guy. Some people are micro-managers, he's the polar opposite.
