Can you make a few jokes during your interview or should you be completely serious?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I did the same as the previous poster. If you're a lighthearted person, I say let it show. If you're not comedically inclined, don't go out of your way to make them laugh.

i didn't really make a joke per se but we were talking about my study abroad experience in Spain and i started talking about how difficult/embarrassing it was for me to try salsa/flamingo dancing for the first time. It kept things light hearted, which is kind of like how my personality is. Just don't overdo it.

Appropriate jokes totally okay. I made a joke related to the rigor of dental school, and the interviewer laughed and told me he "liked my attitude" at the end of the interview.

Double post.

Joke in the same way you will joke as a dentist. I maintained professionalism during my interview while dropping lines like "I'm sold" when they mentioned free printing for dental students. Most important thing is to be yourself and show enthusiasm.
