Does anyone know about applying to Canadian medical schools? Is it basically a crap shoot since they likely won't admit anyone who are US citizens or don't have ties to Canada? I just have heard people trying to apply here as well. Is it worth a shot?

Unless you have a specific reason to go to a Canadian medical school (ie you are canadian) then don't bother. The competition is higher than most US schools so you won't get in in canada if you can't get in in the USA.

Your best bet would be McGill in Montreal, as I believe they set aside 4 or 5 spots for US citizens, but your chances are still much higher at US schools.
