Canadian need?

My wife is from Southern, Alberta, Canada and is interested in returning there to settle down. I'm currently a DO MSI, and I'm interested in pursuing family practice in a smaller town atmosphere. Is anyone aware of a need of family practitioners in Alberta? I've done a little research and found that DO's have full practice rights in Alberta, but not necessarily all other provinces. What are the pros and cons are of practicing in Alberta? What major issues are they facing today? Any input would be greatly appreciated! I gotta keep the wife happy!
