Hey guys!

So I'm a third year student at a Canadian University right now. My first choice for optometry is definitely Waterloo but I'm also going to apply to American schools as a backup. My GPA and OAT scores are fine (3.8 and 400 TS, 380 AA) but I"m concerned about prerequisite courses. I'm not sure about everyone else, or if it's just my university, but my science degree has very strict credit requirements. I had a 29 credit freshman program, my major is 67 credits, and Waterloo prerequisites take up another 15 credits. So I have everything I need to apply to Waterloo, but only have 9 credits left (3 classes) of my 120 credit degree to try and get the necessary prereqs for an American school, which usually require many humanities and social science courses.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so, how did you deal with it? Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

You seem to be in good shape for UW.
