hey ppl
are there any canadian guys on this forum?
does anyone know the chances of canadian students for PharmD? 😡

I'm Canadian, you most likely have a higher chance of getting into a pharmacy school in the States and get a pharmD

Hey, I'm Canadian.

Remember that all the programs in Canada are B.Sc. Pharm, and that you can only do a PharmD after that.

If you want entry-level PharmD then the states would be your answer. I'm not sure about international applicants, that would vary school by school - you should contact the individual school.

thanx
and do you know which schools prefer canadian students more?

Most likely private schools because state school tend to accept students that are in state. Plus its cheaper to attend a private school in the States becuase out of state tuition at a state school is outrageous.

But remember their pharmD is not like a pharmD obtained at a Canadian university. The pharmD in Canada is a true phD, with research based.

U at Buffalo is a state school and they have a number of Canadian students. They state that each applicant has a equal chance of gaining acceptance. Plus, they have one of cheapest Pharm.D tuition in the US even for international students.

I got your message positivetension thanx for that. I have few more questions. Do they look at the courses that you take during your undergrad study or they just consider everyone equal? Because the kind of courses I am taking at my university are tough which obviously bring the GPA down. And do they look for improvement because my first GPA is low compared to upper years? And Did you have 2 english credits during you undergraduate? And how did you fulfill the speech requirement?
