Hi Everyone,
Hypothetical question here but I'm wondering if anyone can share about what the process is like for someone who is a GP in Canada to go and practice family medicine in the US? There is a 2 year vs 3 year training difference and am wondering if this needs to be made up for in any way? Also if anyone can shed some light with regards to needing to write the USMLEs and how VISA is granted to Canadian trained GPs. Thanks!
I'm particularly interested in California, Florida, and Texas.
Alternatively, GIM is a 4 year training here in Canada and the US is 3 years. I'm wondering if this causes any issues in the long term?
Thanks!
