Hello 🙂
I'm a long time reader/lurker on this forum who used to post years ago under another name. Was hoping for some input on a situation I find myself in:
I have an away rotation scheduled at a school for January (yes, I know it's late, but I had my reasons when I made the schedule). I'm on the waitlist at this program for an interview, and I don't think it's particularly promising that I will get off of it. I've already done an away rotation at another school, and I have at least 15 other interviews, so while I'm dissapointed at not getting one at this school, in and of itself it isn't the end of the world. So, my question is, does it make me and/or my home institution look bad to cancel the away rotation at this point? I could use the time to work on my research, but I don't want to give myself a bad name, or hurt the chances of future students coming from my institution. Plus, I guess I wasted some money on VSAS.
Thoughts? Thanks in advance for the help. 🙂
