What should I do? Is it too late to do anything about it at this point?
I am not sure if this was a joke, but I actually second this. Having a clinical psychologist help you through this is a great suggestion. This is exactly what they are trained to do. Whether you want to simply make sense of it all or actually try to change things, they will be able to guide you. If you feel negative about yourself or feel this is a character flaw, I think it would be worth the money. Mental health is just as important as physical health in my opinion.
