Can't get any DO shadowing

I'm applying to DO schools this cycle, and I've called over 20 DO physicians in my area and ALL of them have given me a "at this time we can't accept any students for shadowing". I can't even get my foot into a family medicine clinic without them essentially claiming for HIPPA reasons. I have 48 hours of ER shadowing, 24 hours of Dermatology, and 24 hours of Optho. It just makes my app look like I don't care about primary care when that's literally the field of medicine I want to enter. Would virtual shadowing play any role in aiding my cause?

You're fine as is. I remember one guy we interviewed had nothing but Orthopedics shadowing.

Is there a DO school within driving distance?

PCOM-GA (35 minute drive), VCOM-Auburn 1.5 hour drive! PCOM has a clinic as far as I know, should I give them a call?

Yup, call them and ask if they have DO faculty that you can shadow
