Can't Decide School! Help!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If you want to know how to pay for school pm darazon. Arizona is really cheap to live. The school is in a great area you won't have trouble finding a quiet place to live. At AZPOD you get what you get. There is no curve. If you earn an A you'll get an A. I'm not sure about any of the other schools. There are opportunities to interact with patients in your first year. The faculty take students downtown to do exams at a homeless shelter, you can go as much or as little as you feel comfortable doing. There are tons of volunteer opportunities to get hands on clinical experience too. Professionalism here is a major focus. It is a medical school, you must act like a future professional. I can say personally that the support here is incredible. There is only so much that the school can do for you, but if you are seeking help there are many options here. pm me if you have any further questions. I am a canadian too.

Thanks for the reply! I will definitely check into those schools. Right now, I'm torn between AZPOD, KSUCPM and NYCPM.

One thing that I overlooked was transportation. Although I do like suburban community life, I did forget the fact that very thing is very sparse. If I needed a car in any school, it would definitely go against the most important factor for me: finances!

I know NYCPM has a partnership with some Pod schools in Canada where the students there come to NYCPM for a semester or year. You should ask around and see who the contact person or former Canadian students that did this and ask them questions about living in NY and NYCPM.

I am pretty sure the school in Canada was University of Quebec at Trois-Rìvìères because the students were from Quebec.

You 100% need a car if you go to azpod so that should narrow your choice down.

Is there any school that you won't need a car for? Most of third and fourth year you will likely need a car. If you are unable to get a car I would say AZPODs third year would be impossible for you. Most other schools are likely the same way. Maybe there are exceptions.

Temple and NYCPM you could theoretically do without a car.

you will need a car at every school at some point during your 4 years except for maybe NYCPM if you choose to do all your externships in the city.

i won't need a car for 3.5 of my years while i'm in NYC but i'm planning on doing my externships outside of NY so i have to figure out a way to get a car for 6 months.
