Do you guys have any tips on how to speed up the thinking process/reading process during physical sciences?

I take too much time to figure out what to do, take too much time to do calculations, and then take a solid 10 seconds doubting myself before moving on to the next question -_- (Trying to increase average from a 9 to a 10 or 11 by Jan test date)

i hate to say it but it seems like you are doing just what you need to do...PRACTICE PRACTICE AND PRACTICE. keep it up. you'll become faster and more confident with practice.

also, physical sciences is the only section where occasionally you may be able to get right to the questions and refer to the passage as needed. i say this for only a few passages that are super long AND have questions that i think i can answer without reading the passage.

Try to do your calculations after converting your numbers to scientific notations. It makes it much easier for me.

I skipped any questions I couldn't figure out a method to solve within a few seconds. By the end of the each section on all my practices and on the real deal I had at least half the questions left unanswered, but I had seen them all and subconsciously got to think about them all as I sprinted through the exam. Another benefit is that sometimes other passaged made me think of a solution to a previous one.

At this point I usually had used about a quarter of the allotted time. I would then go back and try the easiest of the remaining ones and strike out any silly answers on the rest. I would also recheck all the ones I already answered. After round two I still had over half the time remaining.

I then went through again but did not recheck the questions I hit on round one. I would usually have finished the whole thing using this method of repeating the exam over and over by the time I had 1/3 of the time left.

As I progressed I marked any questions I was not absolutely sure of and would use this 1/3 to keep checking them until time expired.

My practice average was ~35 and my actual score was 35
