I began preparing about 3 months ago, studying 3-4 hours a day, everyday. I was going to try to up my hours for the last 2-3 weeks, but I'm finding it hard to study at ALL. For the last couple of days, I'm lucky if I get a good hour of concentration in. Anyone else running out of energy? How do you keep yourself focused? I've finally hit my target score of 30, but I'm afraid I'll drop down if I don't keep myself motivated!

It is only 2 weeks away Babe, Just keep on the hard work.

I hit a lull about 5 days ago where I felt I couldnt study anymore. I was only burnt out for two days, and then I picked up studying again about 3 hrs a day. But, then again, I've been studying for less than two months, so I could see why you would be more burnt than I am (was).

i know how you feel - on one hand it's like "come on already! enough with the studying - give me the freakin' test!" but on the other hand i feel like the more time the better.

don't worry. just try to relax as much as you can. if you try to push yourself, you may not able to absorb anything because your mind is not ready.

Yeah, I wrote about this about a week ago. Just pace yourself a bit for the next 1 1/2 weeks. But don't let up. For me, when I start getting a bit bored, its a good sign of preparation. So, to push through this period will really drive home your knowledge and test taking proficiency. Right now, all I'm doing is practice problems and then tackling problem areas.

We're right around the corner on this thing. Just think of the relief after it's over.

I dont know about anyone else, but im getting sick of practice tests.. It seems like I hate taking the test so much that its hard to take a practice test seriously. I know i will feel differently about the real deal but to force myself to take an MCAT that doesnt count is like torture. Im taking so many practices that it just isnt fun anymore! 🙂

Once saturday comes you should start cruising. Keep up on the stuff you know, but I wouldn't try to cram anything else into your head.

I know the feeling. Some advice given on the 'over 30 study habits' post was that you don't have to power write the whole test. Yeah, it's good to do a couple full lengths to build up your mental stamina, but you can also just break each section up into 3-4 passages each to get some practice without burning out on a ton of full lengthers.

You'll still get a feel for your timing this way, as well as determining your weaker areas. I'm gonna be doing this starting tommorrow.
