I understand the purpose/role of the KOL but is anyone actually swayed by seeing a name brand personality involved in a project?

When is it social media and when is it a paid advertisement?

Snark aside, the FTC got involved when a bunch of doctors were on their social media promoting a Botox alternative during a big all-expenses paid beach bash. Not sure what the end decision was but if you are paid by a company in any way and you promote them heavily on your social media it’s probably best practice to disclose your relationship.
