anyone have any recent experience with cardiology locum rates? the only things I've seen on this board is >5 years ago. I have some free time between fellowship and starting my job and was curious on what people have been getting. Locum companies have been coy as well, but mostly just looking for a range (eg is like 1000/day for a week of clinic, or is it like 15k/week).

fwiw, going rate on hospitalist locum gigs is like 150-250 bucks/hr, so....

I Believe a floor of 2.5k a day for general and 3k a day for IC coverage - for general I see either a full clinic vs some inpatient and outpatient mix.. For IC many gigs can entail a couple cases, a couple consults, and 24 hr STEMI coverage (so light work, but paid for coverage). If it’s a busy IC service than 4k+ should be the goal though I’m not sure how often that is possible as a Locums. Prob not.
