Career Fairs

Just curious if anybody knew the typical success rates of interviews held on these days? Or, if anybody has gotten their current or past job through these days. Got one coming up with all the big boy retail chains, and I'm just curious if it's common to land a job through it.

Treat career fairs like informational interviews. If you do a good job, you can get hired on the spot. Read more here... Chances are if you ask the right question, qualify for the job and end up impressing them, you'll get an offer... worse you'll build contacts.

I got my first pharmacist job from my school's career fair, and I had no pharmacy experience other than rotations. The recruiter called me and left a message saying she was very impressed with me during the interview and I should be getting an offer letter soon. I graduated 2 years ago and I'm still with that company.

I didn't get either of my internships from the career fair, but I did use it as a chance to interview with a few different companies with different kinds of pharmacy practice. I know several of my classmates did land gigs through the fairs, though.

We had a career day today. It was awesome! Definitely learn a ton about yourself when you interview 👍

I hope you followed the tips I suggested. If not, there's always modeling to fall back on. 👍

LOL..no, modeling is always top choice. Pharmacy is what you fall back on....

Why would anyone do that? If you can model you SHOULD model. 😕

Super model make millions a year. Pharmacist make 0.00000000001% of that. And the job ain't nearly as fun OR hot. 🙁

Yes, her math sucks. And modeling is not that glamorous. I did some as a kid and it was hot and boring. The pay sucks for 99.9% of models, too.

My daughter modeled for Dillard's several times. And at that time they paid her more per hour than I was making.

I went to bed at 2 after an amazing 8 course french dinner and a subsequent two hour drive to phoenix. I woke up at 430 to take my parents to the airport and came straight to work.

🙁

Oh and at the dinner, I met the owner of Hotel Congress. He was hella cool and now I'll be VIP 😉 I heart Tucson.
