I am a third year surgical resident who is planning on switching to ob/gyn. I am interested in 2 programs in Virginia. I spoke with Carilion and I know they accept the COMLEX, Riverside on the other hand I am not so sure. Does anyone know anything about these programs? I've seen good reviews about Carilion what about Riverside?

If you dont mind me asking-what are your reasons for switching?
Thanks

I'm not crazy about the critical care aspect of general surgery. I know I could always consult medicine but I would not want someone else managing the problems I created through surgery. All in all ob/gyn is a much "happier" specialty not many chronic problems, you develope relationships with your patients and almost every visit procedural, so its not like you are just writing prescriptions.
