SMU in Grand Cayman is a great school. I'm a second year student and quite happy here. A lot of studying, but that is what I signed up for.
I met a student here that went to the Phillipines for school--he didn't like it there and left. Something to the effect of not feeling comfortable with the problem based learning and cultural differences.
Go to valuemd and do some research on SMU and don't take my word for it.
Real quick-- the island is very much like U.S. living standards. And the professors are very knowledgable and more than happy to help students outside of class.

No doubt SMU is making it's mark, I mean just look at their 2007 match list great job!!!
Good luck to all the students of SMU, I've met some students from SMU. They were very helpful, and told me to check which States you want to practice in before deciding to go to ST Matthew medical school.
