The DAT is a simple standardized test that has to assess an entire college career's worth of knowledge in the span of a few hours. With that in mind, it should make sense that *most* of the DAT consists of broad, relatively superficial questions. Some of the items will be more probing, to help discriminate at the higher end of the scoring scale, but the trouble of studying for the DAT (which, incidentally, is the same trouble you'll encounter in dental school) is the simple volume of material you're responsible for, however skeletally.
Just keep plugging away, and don't take it too seriously. However important a test it is, it's just another test, and you've taken too many of them in your life to get too worked up about this one. Good luck! 😀
