How unusual is it to carry small luggage with you to the interview. Do schools usually have a place for you to store it for the day?

Do hotels normally allow you to pick up your luggage a few hours after you check out?

I appreciate anyone's experience with this matter.

People always brought luggage to just about every one of my interviews. The staff was very helpful to them as well. So - don't worry about it.

It is not unusual for interviewees to have their luggage with them when they arrive. Usually you are spend most of your down time in one particular room where you can leave your luggage when you interview or tour. I wouldn't suggest leaving your luggage in a hotel unless it is in your room.

Yup, I had a carry on with me...so did a bunch of other people - we left it in the admissions office - they understand, no worries. 🙂

Many hotels will lock up your luggage after you check out, but it's much less hassle to take it with you to your interview. All admissions offices anticipate this, and many have large closets specifically for interviewees' luggage. Congratulations on getting an interview. 🙂

Thanks for all the helpful replies!
