Case "HOLD" letter

I got a letter in the mail today from Case saying that my application is on "HOLD" until they recieve the scores of a re-take on the DAT. I never indicated on my AADSAS application that I was going to retake the DAT. In fact the only thing I checked off was a future DAT date because I took the DAT after submitting my application.

I know it's pretty much a rejection letter but do you think I should call them up and clarify anything to be sure. My stats are 20/23/18 which includes a 15 on RC.

So far no interviews and 1 rejections..argghhh

Hence Case placed my application on hold.

Don't worry about rejection as I got one from that right-wing cult dental school called Roma Rinda out near Death Valley and a deferment from eye-oh-waaaah because they want super-high GPAs for out-of-state applicants (which is ridiculous to me).

I am sorry to hear about Roma Rinda, lol. You atleast marked a future test date, but I didn't even do that so why would they assume they I am retaking it? All I did was click a future test date when I submitted my application back in August. And since I took the DAT in september (first time), was I suppose to go back to my AADSAS application and uncheck future test date? I am a bit confused...

Ah hah! Now I know what you're talking about.

In your case, you would have to call each dental school you've applied to and notify them that you have or will take your DAT within a week or whenever you plan to do so this year. Hopefully soon though!

Sorry I should have included this info before but I already took the DAT a couple weeks ago and just about 10 days ago, I received a letter from Case that they are missing my DAT scores. So I called them and the guy said I could fax the scores and it will then complete the application. Now yesterday I got that "HOLD" letter assuming that they are going to wait for new scores on a retake of the DAT. So my guess is that they are indirectly trying to tell me to take it again but I have no intentions on doing so this year at least. Unless there is a different reason....😕 😕
