Case Western Interviews...?

For those of you who have CWRU interviews already, did you also apply to the CCLCM program?

As was discussed in another thread, CWRU and CCLM coordinate their interviews so that if you are invited to both, you only have to make one trip. In addition, a current student at CCLM confirmed with the admissions off that they have no offered any interviews yet and the first interview date for them was tentatively scheduled for Sept 25. SOme applicants to CCLM have gotten phone calls asking questions regarding coursework, etc so that would seem to indicate that they are going through apps at this point. So no worries yet if you applied to both.

That's my theory, I've been complete at Case for a while now with no word. Hopefully it just means that they're waiting for the CCLCM decision before inviting for case interview. I recieved an email about coursework yesterday which prompted my inquiry here...

Just wanted to say that invites should be coming pretty soon, but as far as I know, none have been sent yet. I will try to find out exactly when the admissions people think they will start sending them. What I can tell you for sure is that the admissions office has been setting up schedules for some of us and the M2s to meet with you guys when you come for your interviews, host you, etc. And like confused said, right now they are planning to have the first interview date on the 25th, but it could change. I'll let you know when I find out anything new.

If you are invited to interview at both programs (ours and the UP), definitely do schedule them back-to-back. They will give you instructions about how to coordinate them. Good luck to everyone waiting, and I hope to see some of you next month. 🙂

If you're talking about regular invites for Case medical school, you're wrong - they have been sending them out. If you're talking about something else, then never mind.

No, I'm talking about CCLCM, not the UP (main Case program). People who applied to CCLCM haven't gotten invites yet. If you apply to both of them, each program sends a separate invite, and the two offices try to coordinate them. So that's why it takes longer. The people who have invites already only applied to the UP.

I've been trying to figure out what the case ad comm is looking for in the first essay....do you think they want us to write a random essay or do they want something about one of my hobbies(which is applying to med school)?.. i'm just trying to get some ideas
