Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I'm looking for a compiled list of all the categorical PM&R residencies. Based on what I've been able to scrounge up on the net, there are 28 programs.. but I have no idea how to find out which ones they are without going through Frieda one by one. Anyone have a list or know of a way I can figure it out? Thanks for the help

The best (and most accurate way) is to search through the ERAS program list.

I've heard ERAS is best as well, but does anyone have a list, or can find one from ERAS, and pass it along for us M3s, who can't gain access yet?

I'll be applying to PMR next year, and relocating my family (spouse and two young girls) for residency. Ideally, I would match into a categorical program to ensure I don't have to uproot my family twice. I'm really hoping to find a supportive community and one that could potentially offer a permanent home after residency.

Any suggestions or advice on strong categorical programs?

This is a spreadsheet I compiled during my interview season 2-3 years ago. The information isn't perfectly accurate...but it is probably better than anything else online (if you don't have ERAS access).

There is also lots of information about average work hours, USNEWS/DOXI grades, etc.

Hi there! Thanks a lot for posting the spreadsheet!
I was wondering, where in your spreadsheet can you see if there are categorical positions available?

Thanks! and since I'm loving this spreadsheet so much- three more questions- what are the USMLE 1 and 2 numbers under notes? Are they the minimum considered? and what is the distinction between paid or share insurance? and what is Post-911 GIB $/mn?
BTW- this spreadsheet is the best thing I have found on PM&R specialties ever!

Some programs websites included minimum board scores. If the website included it...I wrote it down (and yes, I've read every program's website).

Paid means that the program pays 100% of the insurance...share means that the program pays a portion of the insurance. This can be useful in planning a budget.

I created the spreadsheet for me. So I tended to focus on things that were important to me...such as, can my family of 5 survive in NYC? The columns off to the right are essentially cost of living compared to income at different programs. I included as many factors as possible to help myself form an educated academic and financial decision on where to apply and how to rank programs. I'm prior military and was eligible for the GI Bill...so that is why I included it. I doubt the GI Bill applies to you, so disregard it.
