However, I absolutely love that any time one of you kids gets called out like this your first response is to question whether or not I am actually a med student. Sure, have it your way - I am a student in podiatric nurse midwifery 🙄 doesnt change the fact that you are attempting to divert the discussion away simply because you are unable to come up with anything better to say - that in and of itself is the most embarrassing part of all of this.... but I don't actually trust that you have the ability to recognize it 😉

Are you aware that there are people in this world that have a severe medical condition which causes them to be that way? My mother for instance is one of those people. She is a truck driver that has bad knees and a bad back from driving the truck but you probably do not care about that case either. Oh well I am not one of those people I am 6'4" 245lbs and I exercise every day. I would love to see you say something like to my mother in front of me. Probably never happen though you are probably just an internet tough guy. I doubt very seriously you would say that to someones face. Just my thought.What do you think. Oh I am sorry you probably do not have a brain. I on the other hand will be happy to buy you a plane ticket to come here and see if you have the nerve to say that to someone I know.

You'll spend your last few seconds gurgling blood, and wondering where you went wrong. After that, I'll be forced to take care of any witnesses who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Nothing a few quick choke slams can't fix, followed by a nice gentle slice across the jugular with the Benchmade.
Now, mother****er, you sure you want to go through with that punch?

seriously, I know I am not the most direct with everything that I say, but I feel the implications are obvious enough that you would be able to keep up.... the "holes" in the arguments/statements you keep trying to exploit really only emphasize my points....

I'm only posting in this thread to say that I have a friend who took the MCAT the same day I did "just for fun" before having taken Physics or Organic II and not having studied one bit for it.

He got a 19M.

Subsequently, he was offered admission into Podiatry School prior to graduating college, and enrolled immediately after his junior year of college. He was "given" a retroactive Bachelor's degree from his Pod school.

cool story bro. Here's another one you might like. So I have this pal that went with me to take the MCAT. Turned out, he forgot his ID card and wasn't allowed to sit for the exam. A week later he got an email about some Caribbean Medical School that didn't require the MCAT or a Bachelors Degree. He retroactively received his bachelors and, later, his MD degree. He's now a family physician in Boston.

Those who take the MCAT get podiatry literature, and other PR items to help recruit potential applicants.

~70-80% acceptance rates as purported by their schooling literature, and applicants are generally have lower GPAs, MCATs, and lower tier undergrads.

If family member had major foot trauma, who would you want: an MD ortho trauma surg treating your daughter, or a DPM? That's up for debate by some.

Podiatry training school is not medical school as governed by LCME. Yes, podiatry students attend 4 years of training school, they do not take USMLEs, nor can apply for ACGME residencies. The new standard for podiatrists is 3 years post graduate training that is hospital-based. However, one would reasonably surmise that for foot and sometimes ankle surgery, a minimum would be a 1 year surgical internship governed by ACGME tfollowing by 2-3 years of AOFAS regulated residency training to ensure quality and standardization amongst foot and ankle surgeons.

The scope is limited to feet, and in some states, ankles. The scope is not uniform throughtout the states.

Very few have opportunities outside of podiatry, given that the degree, DPM is not recognized or is familiar with many----many folks think that podiatrists attend medical school and are MDs and that podiatry is an ABMS speciality--which is not accurate. Training can be nonconsistent, nor standardized.

Perform major due diligence with a limited scope profession. Dentistry has a business model that can be quite successful and dentistry is integral in health care.

I would personally choose podiatry over foreign MD (though I would probably not enter medicine at all if I was unable to get in to a US MD or DO school). Its limitations are quite apparent, but its appeal is evident as well, if you can stand feet that is.
