CBT 7s PS?

What'd you guys think of it... I thought it was much harder than the PS in the earlier CBTs... I normally don't run out of time on PS.. but this definitely had the most calculations... Is this what I should expect on CBTs 8 - 10 to come? I was getting 11s - 13s on Kaplan and the other CBTS.. but dropped to a 10 on this.. what the..

I actually thought that CBT 7 was fairly easy and got a 13 on it. 13 10 13 for a total of 36.

Today, as of right now I just finished the verbal section of CBT 10. Scored so far 13 and 10. Both sections 1 point shy of an extra bump so hopefully on the real test I'll be able to hit a 14 and 11 respectively.

Weird.. I was reading around and say that most people thought CBT4s PS was the hardest.. the same people said 7s PS was easy.. odd, I found 4s PS to be the easiest... then again, I made more stupid mistakes on this one.. gotta be more careful

I think I got a 12 on CBT 4 PS.

I also found CBT-4 PS to be the easiest and 7 the hardest.

The only passage that I found to be hard on CBT 7 was the damn earthquake one.

I made a total of 6 stupid mistakes in PS (woulda gotten me a 13).. anyways.. I just have to work on not rushing.

Normally in PS, the mistakes I miss are due to not knowing something.. where unlimited time would not help me.

This time I went too fast through the simple ones.. got the hard ones right (esp earthquake passage) but missed the freebies.. 🙁

One question on BS I absolutely hated was the one with antibiotics for stomach cancer

It asked why host antibodies did not work against the bacteria

The answer was that antibody proteins would get denatured in the stomach's acidic environment... however, the passage said that the bacteria could be treated effectively with antibiotics... why wouldn't antibiotics have the same problem?

I think its because of the type of antibiotics that ur giving them, I believe for h.pylori you use like three diff. drugs to treat it. Maybe the drugs are somewhat pH resistant?

I was between A and C on that one, but went with A.

Host antibodies won't work because they are proteins. Proteins will get denatured in harsh acidic environments. Antibiotics on the other hand are not necessarily proteins (most are non protein organic agents), therefore denaturing is not an issue.

This was a tricky question and I was stuck between choices A and C, but I went with A because C was too vague whereas A was concrete and made sense.

i usually get 10-12 on PS and I got a 9 on CBT 7! i didn't run too short on time though, just dumb errors....and my test is next week!
