Hi I Wanted to get some suggestions from those pre dents who have taken some science cc classes. I am taking half of my prerequisites at a cc and I know some schools don't except them and others have limits. I just wanted to get some advice from others who have done this. Speciffically Gpa, dat scores to stay competitive and any suggestions. Any help will be much appreciated!🙂

I took my gen bio, gen chem, 1/2 gen physics, 1/2 ochem, and english at cc. I had no problem transfering the units to my 4yrs university. Only a few school does not accept cc credit. You have to do good on these cc classes AND the rest of upper division classes at university. A lot of dschool put less weight on cc classes. Thats why you have to do good on your upper division courses. Just study hard for your DAT and work hard for on grades and you will do fine 🙂
Hope this helps

Thank you so much for the input. I have a lot of hard ahead of me but your info put me at ease... a little

I was told by my state school that they don't like to see pre-reqs from CC, but they understand that some have to go to CC first. They advised me to take the lower level classes English I/II, Physics I/II, Biology I/II, and Chemistry I/II at the CC and all others at a 4-year college/university. They wanted to make sure that I could do well in upper level Chemistry & Biology courses. They stressed the importance of doing well on Organic, upper level Biology classes, and the DAT. A poor grade in Organic or upper level Bio classes would tend to negate high grades from a CC.
