if I wanted to send a LOI to CCOM, where would I send it? I haven't heard back from them after sending in my secondary almost a month ago...
thanks
thanks
OK I sent CCOM an email last Thursday asking if they had something in my file.. they asked me the name of my recommenders and I responded. They never replied so I re-emailed on Monday.. and now its Friday, and no reply. What is going on.. do you think they lost my file and wont tell me???
It's true that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, but I keep finding posts like this of yours (I think I remember reading that UIC sent you a second rejection??). It's important not to annoy admissions in this process. I'd let a couple of weeks pass at least and maybe follow up about it then.

No you should absolutely call or email and get your answer. I am sure it was just an oversight. I remember feeling the same way about not wanting to make people too mad. I really don't think a couple of emails will upset anyone there.OK I sent CCOM an email last Thursday asking if they had something in my file.. they asked me the name of my recommenders and I responded. well you are the second current student to tell me to call, so i did. i called and they told me my file was in the directors office right now so they couldn't go through it.. and the director went home sick today.. and to call back tomorrow.
hrm. wonder what that means?? (the directors office)
I did call.. they had my file in the deans office.. then they let me know they had my loi's.. but what should i tell them.. just call in and say hey, i can come in if anyone cancels.? i wrote that in all my loi's.. and emails.. idk. the lady just said "hopefully" you will be hearing from us in a few weeks.
i'll call again in the morning and ask my status and let them know if anyone cancels.. etc.
as far as im aware, i am not on any sort of waitlist.. who knows. and yes, i know my gpa is very low. the one reason i dont hate them forever for.. i know its my problem, not theirs.
i can still dream. and give it everything i possibly have. if i don't.. i'll just think what if.. if i try, like i am, then i'll know it wasn't meant to be - for sure.
^^yup, i live 20 mins away.. in Aurora.. where are you at?
Hey my brother went to high school in Aurora! Sorry off topic I know. What is Aurora like? I was up there once but don't really remember it.

not the best part of chicago
Aurora is nice.. its building up like crazy.. so everything i could possibly want is within 5 minutes of my house.. but i dont know much else.. i just moved here 3 weeks ago.. i lived in downtown chicago before this.. and i prefer it here.. because i HATE having to search for parking in front of my own house downtown.. after i get home and have to drive around for 20 minutes only to eventually park in front of the low income housing where my car was broken into before.. pissed me off like no other! haha. i <3 suburbs.
Aurora is not so bad anymore. They have been really building it up and improving even the downtown area. (unfortunately can't get rid of the casino though)
North Aurora has even become an expensive area to live in with really nice houses.
oh...that's nice ..i have't been in that part of town since i was 15 or so and it was a dump back then
It still has many areas where nobody speaks english, but it is improving.
Good luck!Just FYI for those waiting, the adcom meets tomorrow....

Sometimes they call and sometimes they do not. The letters probably have not been sent yet. If they met Thursday-The dean still has to approve the accepted students and then the letters are typed and sent...So do not start worrying yet. Good Luck!!!!Ok, so if they met Thursday, and I haven't heard anything yet, should I expect a rejection letter?
I just thought that they called their acceptances, and I just want to be in the right frame of mind when I get the letter.

where do you find the matriculation agreement in the interact now page? Is it it a tab/link? Does it pop up? Is it blatantly obvious?
The class size is a little bigger now, but I am really not sure of the transitional year vs traditional year stat? Sorry. There used to be a pool, they just demolished the building it is in. We do have a gym now, but no pool. Two quick questions:
1) CCOM's match list for 2007 was generally really impressive (particularly all those allo programs). One thing I noticed, though, is that between 30-35 or so were either "Traditional Rotating" or "Transitional Year." That seems like a pretty big deal, considering the class is only 160...it's like 20% of the class! Do any current students have any input on this?
2) I've heard from different people indirectly that there's a swimming pool on campus...there's no mention of it in on the website, however--is there one?
Anyone in here currently in the MBS program or will be in the fall? If you are currently in the MBS did you get into med school this go around? Did you apply during your first year, or did you wait until the 2nd year to apply? I did not know if it looked ok to apply to med school before finishing the program. I have been accepted and paid the deposit. I have never done research before, so I'm kind of nervous about that aspect. Could you please PM me if you are currently in the program. Thanks!
Nope. The only reason I applied to CCOM was because I got an email saying they would transfer my application for FREE! I applied to the postbac program at UNT in Ft.Worth, so I'm just waiting to hear back from them. As of right now I'm going to Downers Grove next year unless I get accepted at the two med schools I interviewed at.
