CDC Epidemiology Elective Program (EIS elective)

Hi all,
I am a current MS3 planning to apply to the CDC Epidemiology Elective Program for 4th-year medical students (Epidemiology Elective Program Homepage | CDC). I was wondering if anyone has experience applying to or participating in this program?

I'm particularly interested in 1) acceptance rate 2) characteristics of a strong application and 3) sites/departments where you had positive or negative experience.

as of 10 years ago there was 85% acceptance rate
