I have some random ringbacks(rap, rock) on my phone. My cell is my main contact number. If i get contacted by a pharmacy school, do you think it would be bad if they heard my ringbacks? Should i just turn them off?

If you don't know what a ringback is, its when you call a phone and instead of hearing a ring tone(or whatever sound it makes..ring, ring, ring), you hear a song.

TURN THEM OFF!!!!!!! Definitely. We actually have a pharmacist in our store who will not even interview an applicant if she calls and it is any type of rap music on the ringback or voicemail.

Just play it safe and get rid of them.

THANKS! Im turning it off tonight. Thanks again.🙂

Of course you should turn it off.

The cell phone thing is overdone by a lot of kids these days, and such a feature (ringback) suggests that you are likely to be in that group. I wouldn't want to accept someone likely to be constantly text messaging while in class, while on the road, etc.

sorry...but i am in that group.

At least don't do it on the road. You guys kill (or nearly kill) too many of us.

I'm sick of dodging people driving poorly or making ridiculously wide turns because they aren't paying attention and can only drive with one hand 😡

Oh, and capitalize the letter 'i' when talking about yourself. And pull up your pants!

Yeah, definitely turn off the ringback.

I would also suggest checking how you record your voicemail. Some people have very informal and even crazy messages.

Yeah, I made sure my ringback is turned off and my voice mail somewhat professional. Thanks!🙂

Yes, as soon as I graduated in 2006 and started applying to pharmacy school and searching for job, I had to change my voicemail and take off the ring back song.
I had a foot surgery last december and my podiatrist gave me his personal cell phone number incase something went wrong that night since I went home right after the surgery. Guess what, after I called I heard this funky beat and it freaked me out. I could not imagine I had let him work on my foot. Thinking it was the wrong number, I hung up and called back. After talking to him, I mentioned that because of the ring tone, I thought I had called the wrong number. He apologized saying his usual work cell had gone bad and he had just ordered a new one. He looked like in his early 30s but still -😱jeez
