Hey all,


I’m kind of in doubt about the topic that I chose for secondaries with a challenge prompt and would really appreciate some feedback. Can I go with this or should I try to find a new one?


I had a terrible fear of public speaking after speaking at an admitted student’s day at my university where I froze up and fainted (in front of my peers, professors, and 100+ prospective students/parents). I struggled a lot in overcoming this fear and building my confidence back up. At the end of undergrad, I was selected to be the student speaker my commencement and had to get over the anxiety to get up in front the president, deans, and my entire class and their families to deliver the speech.

What is the "reason" why you were able to overcome this challenge? -- Because if this "reason" is something that can be applied to a challenge that you may face in medical school (or your future medical career), then I'd say your essay will help your application.
