chance??? 3.3 cGPA, 36O MCAT, top 5 school

I wondered what you guys think.

I have a 3.3 cGPA and sGPA with an upward trend. I go to a top 5 university.

I got a 36P on the MCAT.

2+ year of research experience
3+ years of volunteer experience with 3 semesters in leadership position
Shadowing experience

Per AMCAS stats from the last three years, those applying with your numbers had a 61% chance of getting in somewhere. Getting in a solid year of straight As for cGPA improvement before applying would help you. See: http://www.aamc.org/data/facts/2008/mcatgpa-grid-3yrs-app-accpt.htm

As a 3.41/38O re-app I can tell you that it's an uphill battle. However, you have shown solid commitment to medicine with your experiences so I do not think they will question your desire to be a doctor. Apply very carefully, do everything you can to market yourself and show yourself in the best light possible. Use everything you can to explain your grades, while taking full responsibility for them. Your MCAT is great, but if there is one thing I regret about my application, it's that I relied too heavily on my MCAT.
