You're taking the MCAT in TWO years? Don't worry about schools at this point. Things will be way different in two years. Are you the person who currently lives in TX but is going to GA to scribe for an uncle or cousin?

@candbgirl I apologize that was a typo. 2017. But yes. Developed a school list for when I'm a GA resident.

@candbgirl Would it be possible if we used what my (realistic) goal is which I consider to be 508-510?

Sure, you can do anything you want. Do you have the MSAR? If not buy it and start researching schools and their 10th-90th percentile stats. See what schools you fit in stats wise. Look at the missions of the schools and how your ECs fulfill those missions. Look at how many OOS applicants schools get, how many they interview and ultimately how many they accept. The MSAR is full of helpful information that will make your list development easier. But keep in the back of your mind you really won't know until you actually have that MCAT score.

@candbgirl I do have the MSAR that I've been using to develop my school list (based on my stats and realistic MCAT score) Based on my OP, is there anything I should work on while I gain residency in my gap year (After I finish the MCAT)

Your ECs look pretty good. But be sure to keep some of them up. You don't want to apply with old ECs. Your medical mission trips won't count for much. There are whole threads dealing with this subject. Maybe try to get some shadowing with a primary care physician-just to round out your views of medicine! Good luck with your move!

@candbgirl Some of my ECs (free medical clinic, leadership positions, research) I completed when I was at school in a different state but I will obviously continue my clinical experience and shadowing. I do need to get some shadowing with primary care physicians for my mercer app since they are heavily focused on primary care. I've heard that the missions trips won't count for much but I consider my medical mission trip to be a very valuable experience and one that really helped me decide that I wanted to pursue medicine as a career so in that case, would it count? I have a lot of important experiences that I was planning on using in my PS. Also, do you think pursuing some sort of clinical research at a hospital would be worthwhile?

That's why I said to keep up some of your ECs. Perhaps the person you are scribing for can set you up with a PCP to shadow. I really can't answer your mission trip questions. As I said there are several threads dealing with this very issue. I think there might even be an article posted about their uselessness. As to research I really don't know. Are any of your schools active in research? I think the MSAR tells you how many students or applicants have research experience for each school. Have you ever done any? Do you think you might like it? I'm sure it won't hurt but I'm not sure how much it will add.
