Stats:

GPA :
Cumulative: ~3.65, sGPA: ~3.5 (Biochemistry major w/ bio minor)

DAT:
Taking it this summer (Goal is at LEAST 21AA, but I believe that a 22-23 is within reach from me)

Shadowing
Have about 100 hrs so far (should be up to 120-140 by application time)

Volunteering:
Around 200 hrs. (church, community center, different free clinics, etc.)

Other:
Certified computer and cellphone repair tech. so I'm pretty good with my hands
Have worked in customer service for the past 2 years
Take 18hr a semester (changed major so had to catch up), work 20-25hr and have ~5hr of research a week

From South Carolina (Go Clemson Tigers!)

I am looking to stay somewhere on the east coast, but open to wherever I can get in.

Any suggestions on things I should work on? or schools to apply to?

My current schools list (still working on adding to it):
  • UNC (out of state but one can hope right??)
  • MUSC (really expensive even from in-state students)
  • Georgia (whatever the name is now since they change it every year)
  • UAB (for the research aspect)
  • VCU

Take the DAT first, then look into the ADEA guide for average GPA and DATs of schools in your state and out of state. Make a list, then get back to us.

This. Useless without the Dat considering no one really aims for a low score, yet still receives them. You can't be given good direction without a complete stat list.
