Chances for DO?

You'll have no problem getting a DO acceptance if you also add some shadowing and some non-medical volunteering under your belt.
 
Thanks! I do have some tutoring experience & habitat for humanity experience. I will definitely try to squeeze in as much shadowing as possible, though, before I apply in June (hopefully another 20 hours).
 
Medical volunteering is on the low side too, but I think you might be able to get a "pass" if everything else is solid.
 
Yeah, hopefully this will be good enough to pass. I wish I had more time to do medical volunteering, but unless I decide to take another year off and re-apply next year, I probably won't have time.

(I actually attended an ivy league law school for a year before deciding to drop out and do medicine, so I'm slightly older (24), and should probably not wait any longer).
