What are my chances for acceptance into a master's in public health or master's in epidemiology program? How do admissions committees perceive personal traumas?
I was a biomedical engineering major for two years. Then changed to Biology/ Philosophy. My GPA plummeted and I was nearly placed on suspension. I've had family members murdered and family members die natural deaths. My father almost died of a heart attack. I was attacked by a guy and pressed charges. I was visiting court for years, having to see the perpetrator face-to-face on numerous occasions. After a lot happened, I got depressed and suffered from PTSD.
I am trying hard to get back on track and pull up my GPA. Take the GRE some time. I have medical experience working as a Phlebotomist. I also worked full-time in a pharmacy, billing insurance companies. I hope to get a master's in public health and follow-up with medical school.
