I applied in the second batch with a 3.4 oGPA and a 3.3 sGPA (strong upward trend at a UC with a 3.8 the last 2 years all in science classes). I have the following DAT scores:
GC:18
OC:19
BIO:18
RC:19
PAT:19
QR:18

I have a lot of ECs such as: volunteering at a nursing home and as a tutor for a low income student (around 250 hours total). Research experience in an organic chemistry lab (around 100 hours total). I taught an organic chemistry lab at my University (paid). I worked in a doctors office (100 hours). And I shadowed a dentist (70 hours). I am also 25 years old and have a 5 year old son which I talked about in my personal statement. I am applying to most of the west coast schools as would to stay on this side of the country for my son and family. I am applying to:
UCSF, UCLA, UOP, Western, USC, Loma Linda ( I have a spiritual leader rec.), ASDOH, Midwestern (AZ), UNLV, Oregon, Colorado, Washington, and Roseman.
Let me know what you guys think...also are there any more schools I can add that I am missing??

Your GPAs are not bad, and your aptitude is reinforced by your strong upward trend. ECs look great. I would guess that you'll have some luck if you submit soon (have you already?). If you're feeling particularly insecure, a retake may be your ticket in. good luck!

Ya I submitted in the second batch and have send out a lot of secondary apps. already

Yo man,
I have the same stats as yours:
ogpa: 3.42
sgpa: 3.33
BCP gpa: 3.62
non-science: 3.6
My DAT is slightly better than yours 20/21/21 with nothing below 20. My application mailed out today. I also wonder the same thing about my chance this cycle. I have a year of 3.75 and 4.0 gpa to count as upward trend. I also volunteer and shadow as a dental assitant for 1 year. I applied to 11 schools plus 3 schools in Texas since I am a Texan. Anyway, I would love to hear in input on your chance coz it could somehow reflect mine.
In my opinion, your DAT/GPA combos is not really strong. You need to kill the DAT more like a +20 across the board ( I am thinking about retaking mine) Other then that, you would have a good shot this cycle.

If I am being honest, I think you wasted some money on some of those schools. But, I do think you will get interviews if you are looking for that reassurance.

Make sure you keep in touch with each school and be vocal about wanting to attend.

:luck:

LOL I knew I did after I submitted...but whatever you never know right! I just need one!

When you say to keep in touch with each school, do you mean after submitting the secondary and checking on status with the schools. Or do you mean calling them and telling them how much I want to attend their school?

I wrote an email to each school explaining an address change, confirming my complete application, and explaining how much I wanted to attend their school and that I was not applying on a whim (all in the same, short, email)

Schools responded favorably. They attach all of your correspondences to your application and therefore, every time someone read my application they also read an attached email that stated my huge desire to attend their school (After working on application review board, that kind of stuff sticks out a lot more than a standard app).

It's not for everyone, but it worked for me.

Ya I did that with a grade update recently and explained how much I wanted to attend each school...

Are there any schools I am missing I should reconsider?
