I'm gonna be applying next year, not this year, but just wanted to know my chances of staying in California. Money is pretty tight now, so can't really afford to apply to too many schools, so trying to figure out which schools to apply to.

Biotech Major -
cGPA: 3.95
sGPA: 4.0
MCAT: 11 BS 12 PS 8 VR
Student Run clinic volunteer (1 summer)
Community clinic volunteer (2 years)
club leadership (2 years)
tutor + mentor (1 year)
hospital volunteer (1 summer)
Summer research program (produced documentary)
Lab assistant (2.5 year)
Lab publication
small online business owner

Still have a year to go, so anywhere that I can improve on, retake mcat, etc please let me know, thanks!

for cali retaking the mcat is definitely something to consider if you think you can improve for a better shot esp with the lower verbal.
I had several friends with near 4.0 but less than 33 mcat who ended up outside cali. don't take it the wrong way your stats are fantastic (much better than me haha) but there's no guarantee so it'll be good to be open minded. it'll end up costing more if you have to reapply.
