I am a Computer Science grad and am wondering what my chances are of getting into pharm school. My GPA is pretty bad, at 2.8 and I need to still take the science classes( about 6 of them depending on th school). I see from PharmCAS that the mean gpa is usually 3.3+ for most schools. Are there any schools that do not take into account GPA's at all and just the PCAT scores? Also, since I haven't taken teh science courses I'll need to take those, but my question is at the university or at a community college. Someone suggested a community college because I currently work and would only have the time to take classes at night after 5 pm. The courses I need aren't offered at that time unfortunately that I have seen. Does anyone have any good suggestions for me?

I'm an engineer and worked full time while taking prereqs at a community college. I took them at a CC so that I could continue working. However my undergrad degree is from a university and I assume yours is too. As for your GPA, as long as you do pretty well in your prereqs (mostly As) you should be fine. My GPA was not stellar (3.1 when I applied, went up to 3.2 after a few more classes) but I had mostly As in all the prereqs and a 90+ on the PCAT and I got 3 interviews. Also strive to do well on the PCAT, and you will be fine. Good luck!
