40 MCAT with 2.9 GPA? What happened with your grades bud? Also, what are you extracurricular activities?

You have an extraordinary MCAT score but a dismal showing in the classroom. Unless you have two recent years of straight As in classes, including upper-level science courses, and some amazing extracurricular activities, besides an excellent explanation for your poor coursework, I'd be surprised if any med school would take a chance on you. I hope you will provide more information that will moderate this opinion and allow us to give advice that can improve your chances.
