Changing classes taken

If I don't end up taking a class next semester that I said I was going to take (Sociology) and it is not required for my major/school I am matriculating to, do I need to report it to the med school? Or are classes on my AMCAS just "planned" and subject to change?

It depends on the school, some require you to notify them if your planned courses change, while others don't. Contact the admissions staff at that school and ask what their policy is.

I was under the impression that future coursework is non-binding. I could be completely wrong, however.

Nevertheless, unless it is for graduation/a pre-req, I cannot think of a logical scenario where this would be a problem. "Oh, desiredmember didn't end up taking sociology. He/she isn't a good planner. He/she is done."
