I just recently finished my 1st semester of Junior year. I've only taken two classes for my major, which is Microbiology and Immunology, but the major isn't as interesting as I thought it would be and has become increasingly difficult with pre med reqs. I have a minor in Exercise Phys, and I've taken 3 classes for it. I love my minor atm because it relates to what I do (i play sports regularly, i go to the gym etc).
I recently read a thread about the same issue, I assume that changing my major would most likely add an extra semester. Idk what you guys thought of the idea of taking a chance and adding maybe an extra year or semester to undergrad and how that affects medical school acceptance.

If changing your major makes you happy, than go for it. If you can do Micro/Immunology as a minor, since you've taken a number of classes I presume, than do that. My cousin was telling me the other day that his friend got into medical school several years ago as a sociology major. Yeah, sociology. lol.

Do what will make you the happiest in life! I have learned this lesson late in the game.

Consider yourself luckier than me because changing between your two majors isn't that bad. I have recently decided to go for my dream job as an anesthesiologist. I decided to do this after spending the past three years in business/accounting because it was my 2nd choice career and it was the easier of the two.

But after realizing that when I'm 70 looking back at my life as a business man knowing I chose that career over my dream job because at the time it seemed smarter to start working in a job eight years sooner because I could stand it instead of spending an addition eight years in school to be an anesthesiologist and have a job I love and will wake up everyday happy to go to.
