This may be really unheard of but was wondering what everyone would think. So I just realized I could graduate early if I changed my major from one department (biology) to another (chemistry) they both include the same courses and the only difference is the biology one has 3 additional classes, and the chemistry major has a writing component which I really like because it goes along with my writing minor. I am also applying this year, so I was wondering if it would be suspicious to do so? I would also save thousands of dollars doing this too, sooooooooooo. yeah.

Really don't think there would even be a way for schools to know this. They don't care what your major is as long as you took the prerequisites. Upper level bio classes would help if you do well in them, but it's not strictly necessary if you nailed your other classes so far. Schools would also understand financial reasons, but again it's not even something that would be disclosed as far as I know.
