Hey there. School A has offered me a large scholarship that would reduce COA to 220,000. School B is my top choice and is IS but has a COA of 360,000. Neither school has sent out official aid packages/award letters yet. Is it too soon to reach out to school B and see if they would be able to match the COA at school A? I know that I will not get any other scholarships at School A and would much rather prefer going to school B over all my other acceptances and waitlists.

basically when is it too soon? and when should I reach out to see if they can find more $$$ to make the COA's closer?

Both schools award/aid package should release early March, but is there an advantage to contacting admissions now and letting them know if they can find a way to get the COA down to 220k I will come for sure? My thought was that it might be best to reach out now before funds/scholarships are promised/given out.
