Check Columbia, SC...a little over an hour's drive though. Usually cheapest to fly to Atlanta but that can be a 4-hr drive to Augusta...with gas prices you probably don't want to do that. Good luck.

Expect a 3 hour drive straight down I-20 if you don't land during rush hour traffic time. If you land in Atlanta during rush hour, expect a 4.5 hour drive.

Soooo true. I've made it from Augusta to the Atlanta suburbs in just under 3 hr, and other times nearly 5. Icky.

Flight into Columbia SC was actually pretty reasonable, shows 90min drive into Augusta, thanks for the help!

No problem! It's a lovely small municipal airport and an easy drive. Good luck!

No sorry, I taught in the PA program at MCG/GHSU for 2 yr. DO student now. With which program are you interviewing?

Oh excellent! They were just breaking ground on the new dental building when I was last there in 2010. Hope it goes well.
