Just my opinion,

Seems like the message

"Please check back on December 1 for more information regarding your decision status with this school"

means that the school have made decision about your status already.

Maybe AADSAS webpage fixed "blank" and switch that into the message above, so that student will not be able to know their status until Dec 1.

So maybe there will be no "blanking" this year, I guess

yep Nova just appeared on AADSAS with please check back on Dec 1st. hope you're right!
 
If your status don't change into "Check back on Dec 1" while others do, you're probably still in under review.
Maybe you will not hear from the school on Dec 1, but you will probably do in next wave.
People with the "check back" message will get their decisions on Dec 1,
either "accepted" or "rejected"
 
So you are suggesting that if we don't have any "Check back on Dec 1" notifications, then we're not going to get any phone calls on Dec 1? Seems unlikely to me.
 
Edit: Nova just appeared on my AADSAS too. I still don't see an acceptance deposit on my Nova portal so I'm assuming it is rejection or waitlist. ):

I have check back on dec 1 from Mid west-IL and i know it's a rejection because I got snail mail in September about it..
 
Has Louisville updated anyones AADSAS to this? I interviewed there and they still aren't on my school decisions page.. kind of worries me..
 
Okay Nova just showed up on my AADSAS with "please check back on Dec 1st" status update. Not sure what this means, because on my webstar in Nova's portal i dont have the acceptance fee/deposit thing

Nope. They're still not showing up on my aadsas at all.

Does anyone who interviewed at Nova, and have the acceptance/deposit table in their portal, have:
"Please check back on December 1 for more information regarding your decision status with this school"

on AADSAS?

That's the pattern, reject letter, then that message appears sometime later.

Same happened to me and Case. That message apparently means that they have been updated by the school.

The answer to this question will determine what the check back at dec 1st means. Atleast for nova it will. Anyways worrying about all these little things just adds to the anxiety lol. We won't know anything for sure til dec 1st

I dont think thats the idea with MWU IL. They dont need to wait until Dec 1st to reject students, plus I heard they have already sent out rejections via mail (i dunno if this includes students that were interviewed or not.)

Plus MWU said they accept 70% of their interviewed students and I cant imagine so many of SDNers being rejected by them. Its possible, but unlikely.

We shall see at midnight on their portal.
 
Well RunDMD2b said he already received a rejection letter in September, but his status still updated to check back Dec 1. I highly doubt they changed their mind to an acceptance, so it's probably just a senseless formality that the status changed to check back on Dec 1, at least in this case. Needless to say, I don't think you can truly infer anything from the check back Dec 1 status update. If you want to try, I guess you can, but like previously mentioned, you'll probably just create more anxiety for yourself.

My AADSAS status for Univ. of Oklahoma changed to "Check back on Dec. 1st..." It was previously "Invited for interview" with the date of my interview. Anyone have the same change for Oklahoma?

I'm hoping that AADSAS has just changed it to this so that there aren't any giveaways.

Yes, I have both the deposit table on the portal and the "check back" status on my AADSAS

If you click through the deposit link a little bit, does it look like it'll actually let you put down a deposit? Or does it say something like "Placing a deposit is only available to accepted students"? It may be that the deposit table is just a part of everyone's portal, and then there's a trigger on Dec 1 (if you're accepted) that will be activated so your account can place a deposit. MWU-AZ has this.

Are you speaking for NOVA or schools in general?

I love how people can say things like this with the utmost certainty when *news flash* the only people that REALLY know what's going on here are the admissions committee's themselves. My advice is to not stress out over it one way or another. Some people have this message on some schools, some on none who knows what it means, but quite frankly this blind leading the blind is a little exhausting
 
My status for Louisville is still at "invited for interview" and has been for the past 2 months.

My OUCOD status on AADSAS is also "Please check back December 1st...." hopefully they just fixed the "blanking" that happened last year...
 
I'm actually a she not a he. I said in MY case, I got a rejection from Midwest IL via snail mail in September, no interview invite and my AADSAS says check back Dec 1st. So in MY case, check back Dec 1 = rejection for Midwest IL. it may be different for other people and I doubt they would change their mind and give me an acceptance Dec 1st without an interview!

I have both the "Check back on December 1st" on AADSAS and the acceptance fee in my Nova portal 🙂

The nova portal doesn't let you click on anything on the check list, it just lists the acceptance fee and pre-registration fee
 
Soo, I am a student at MWU-IL and have been pretty discouraged reading all these comments about how the "check back on Dec. 1st" status= Rejection.... While being in the MABS program here I have become friends with the admissions department, so i ended up going and talking to the lady who updates the status on AADSAS and asked here if what everyone was saying was true... She ended up telling me that everyone who was interviewed had their status changed to the "check back on Dec. 1st", so as of now it really doesn't mean much.. Hope this helps!
